The Herald of Doomsday Returns to SmackDown
Karrion Kross returned to WWE in 2022 and immediately made SmackDown feel more dangerous. There is a theatrical menace to everything he does — the hourglass imagery, the countdown, Scarlett's entrance. It all builds to a match atmosphere that few performers in WWE can manufacture. The audience genuinely does not know what Kross will do next.

When Karrion Kross set his sights on Roman Reigns and The Bloodline in 2023, SmackDown had a genuine main-event programme to rally around. Two dominant personalities colliding — one the tribal chief, one the herald of something darker still. Their confrontations had a weight that elevated both men and gave SmackDown must-see status for months.
