Born in Kyoto, Japan, Shinsuke Nakamura trained under the legendary NJPW dojo system before becoming one of the most decorated performers in New Japan history. He arrived in WWE NXT in 2016 and the reception was unlike anything the developmental brand had ever produced. His entrance music alone became a cultural phenomenon. His NXT Championship reign set a standard. And his main roster career — multiple championships, iconic feuds — proved that Strong Style had a permanent home in WWE.
