The Rated-R Superstar Era
Edge's heel run as the Rated-R Superstar in the mid-2000s was a masterclass in character evolution. Starting as a tag team specialist and opportunistic cash-in artist — the first ever Money in the Bank winner — Edge grew into one of WWE's most convincing main event villains. His feuds with John Cena, Batista, and Undertaker during this period produced some of the best television WWE has ever broadcast, with Edge at the centre of every major story.

Edge & Christian — Tag Team Legacy
Long before his solo career, Edge and Christian defined the tag team division of the Attitude Era. Their rivalry with the Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz — fought through tables, ladders, and chairs matches that forever changed the sport — established both men as future stars. Edge and Christian were the comedic, self-serving villains who could back it up in the ring. Seven tag team reigns and the five-second pose. The most entertaining tag team of their generation.

Retirement and the Returns
Edge retired in April 2011 following a diagnosis of cervical spinal stenosis — a career-ending neck injury that doctors said could have left him paralyzed had he continued wrestling. Nine years later, he returned at the 2020 Royal Rumble, defying medical expectations. His second comeback run proved he had lost nothing — his instincts, his character work, and his match quality all at the highest level. Edge's comeback story is one of professional wrestling's greatest narratives.
